Administration > Support | Verbose Log tab
Allows the administrator to set verbose log for a specific clients's IP address, for troubleshooting purposes.
Administrators can record Verbose Log, filtering by client IP address, which goes through IWSVA and sends the results to Trend Support for further analysis.
Note: The Verbose Log is the most detailed of IWSVA logs. Trend Micro recommends setting the IP address range as narrowly as possible as this option requires extensive disk space use and should only be enabled if your logging requirements need this type of extensive logging. Enabling this option can also reduce the performance of the system if fast disk drive subsystems are not available.
To capture Verbose Log:
On the Verbose Log tab, type the client IP address, or a range of IP addresses.
Click Add, and continue adding IP addresses until all client IP addresses, needing to be traced, have been added.
If needed, click Remove to remove IP addresses from the Selected column.
Click Start Capturing. The elapsed time displays.
To stop the capture process before it finishes, click Stop Capturing.
Note: Trend Micro recommends reproducing any Verbose Log capture issues in order to obtain debug log information for specific IP addresses.
When the capture process is complete, select all generated files using ctrl + mouse left-click.
Select one of the following actions:
Click Download and browse to save the capture file to a directory.
Click Clean > OK to delete the selected generated files .
