Trend Micro recommends that you have IWSVA automatically delete logs older than x number of days (typically, 15 or 30 days) or larger than a specified amount of GB disk space. The raw logs will automatically be deleted from the database according to your configuration.
By Number of Days
When the log exceeds the number of days indicated, it will be purged. However, the Summary information will not be purged.
By Log Disk Size
When the log exceeds the log disk size indicated, the raw data will be purged. However, the Summary information will not be purged. If after purging the raw data log the disk size is still larger than the indicated setting, the Summary information will then be purged.
After the Global Log Settings have been established, the settings are considered in order with the “Days” setting being considered first. If the “Days” condition cannot be met, the raw log is first deleted, and then the Summary information will be deleted.
From the main IWSVA menu, click Logs > Log Settings.
Specify the number of days you would like IWSVA to keep the logs.
Specify the maximum disk size to store logs. If the log data exceeds the size specified, older log data will be deleted automatically for newer log data.
Click Save.
